Lainy Wilson-Curry
My passion is to use my creativity in an energetic and infectious teaching style. I want to inspire what dancing can be through innovative choreography and with a positive personality. I am dedicated to teaching children and teens the love of dance and showing them how to express their personalities artistically. It is so fulfilling to me, to see students grow as both artists and people! I strongly believe in the foundation of technique, but also in teamwork and fostering an attitude of love for dance.

I have been a lifetime Monroe resident who has had dancing in my blood since the age of 3. I thank my mother for introducing me to a dance program in this town when I was young and up through my high school years. High school brought the addition of Dance Team for me. I was lucky enough to be one of the choreographers for the first All – Iowa Dance Team. Dancing under the direction of Kathy Enyart taught the true meaning of integrity. I have enjoyed being a 30+ year volunteer for the annual State Dance Competition. Coaching award-winning high school and college level dance teams was such a gratifying experience! I will continue to critique various high school and college competition teams for as long as they will allow me to!
